£110k per-week Arsenal star wanted by European giant as transfer for Celtic hero ‘approved’ by club director

An Arsenal transfer exit has been mooted for the Celtic favourite.

This transfer window, a Celtic hero is supposedly being targeted for a move to Turkey.

Although Kieran Tierney is still with Arsenal, his future is uncertain. He acknowledged that, following a loan stint at Real Sociedad the previous season, his future probably doesn’t lie with the team that paid £25 million to acquire him from Parkhead in 2019.

Injuries sustained by Scotland during the 2024 Euro have added to the uncertainty. Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray is reportedly “considering renting the 27-year-old star, who the North London team does not consider in the squad,” according to a recent claim made by Fotomac. Okan Buruk, the club’s technical director, is said to have “approved” the move already.

Arsenal is reportedly considering offers for a player who has two years left on his £1110,000-per-week contract at the Emirates, according to the Daily Record. Tierney enjoyed a trophy-filled tenure at Celtic, winning eight trophies during that time.

When asked in May by The Athletic if he had played his final match for Arsenal, he replied, “There is every chance.” Now take a look at the depth of the squad in that role. Zinchenko, Timber, Tomiyasu, and Kiwior are among them. There is room for four players to play.

“I’m not foolish; I know the likelihood that I’ll be leaving if I return and everything is the same as it was before. But in football, you never know. You don’t often see someone who has played for four years, left, and then returned to play again; one exception is [William] Saliba, who returned after a few successful seasons [out on loan].
