As Celtic ultras send vital funds, the Green Brigade raises thousands of dollars for Palestinian medical aid.
To raise funds for those affected by the conflict, the group sold ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ T-shirts.
In a generous act of kindness, the Green Brigade raised £20,000 for Palestine Medical Aid.
The Celtic ultras group released a ‘Solidarity with Palestine’ T-shirt in early November, emblazoned with the title of their club anthem, You’ll Never Walk Alone, in Arabic on the front and English on the back. The goal was to raise as much money as possible for medical aid for those injured in the Middle East conflict.
After selling the shirts for £15 each, the group has now confirmed that they raised £20,000 for the worthy cause. “Thank you to the thousands of people who supported our Medical Aid for Palestinians fundraiser by purchasing the ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ T-shirt,” the statement says.
“We can confirm that today we have made a £20,000 payment to MAP thanks to your generosity. We are aware of a small number of errors with some orders and are currently rectifying these.
“We have a small number of volunteers working through thousands of orders therefore appreciate your patience and understanding with timescale and errors. There will be no further sale of the same T-shirt.”
