Celtic are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool left-back Owen Beck, who was recently recalled from his loan spell with Dundee, and in an interview with GIVEMESPORT, journalist Dean Jones discussed the possibility of Brendan Rodgers’ side securing his signature.
Rodgers and his recruitment team will be looking for reinforcements as they look to reclaim the Scottish Premiership title. The January transfer window opened a few days ago. Celtic have begun to turn things around after a difficult run of games in December, but they may be hoping for more additions to take their side to the next level.
Celtic could make a move to sign Beck now that he has returned to Liverpool. The 21-year-old has been in good form for Dundee this season, but the Merseyside club may prefer him to play in a stronger Scottish side.
Celtic have been linked with a move for Beck.

Beck signed a loan deal with Dundee until the end of the season during the summer transfer window to gain first-team experience. However, Dundee announced earlier this week that Liverpool have decided to recall Beck from his loan spell, casting doubt on the young left-back’s next step.According to a recent report from DaveOCKOP, Celtic and Rangers are both interested in loaning Beck out for the rest of the season. With Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas currently out injured, Jurgen Klopp may have decided to bring Beck back to Anfield to provide cover at left-back rather than find him a new temporary contract elsewhere.
Dundee manager Tony Docherty revealed in December that the two clubs were in talks about Beck’s future, possibly implying that the Merseyside club was considering finding him a new club to help his development…
“We’re in the midst of talks.” There is no confirmation as of yet, but we are in talks.”
Celtic were reportedly interested in signing Portuguese left-sided player Tiago Araujo earlier this season, according to the Evening Standard. This season, the Estoril star has played at left-back or left midfield, implying that Rodgers is looking to bring in reinforcements in this area of the pitch at some point this month.
