According to sources, Celtic’s signing of Rapid Vienna winger Nicolas Kuhn is now a “done deal”.

The Hoops are believed to have reached an agreement for the capture of the German, 24, and the transfer is now being finalised.

Celtic have obtained a work permit for Kuhn and have only minor paperwork issues to resolve before the transfer is completed.
The deal, which is expected to cost more than £2 million, is viewed by Hoops officials as a massive coup.

Brendan Rodgers has made Kuhn a top target this month following his impressive performances in Austria’s top flight, where he has two goals and five assists in 16 league appearances this season.

He is skilled at creating opportunities, something the Hoops have struggled with this season.
The former Ajax player has started all but one game in the Austrian Bundesliga this season, guiding his team to sixth place.

He joined the club for a reported £500,000 in the summer of 2022, having previously spent all of his time with Bayern Munich’s reserve squad.

Kuhn is a versatile player who primarily plays on the right wing, but has also excelled in attacking midfield and as a centre forward throughout his career.
The 2000-born ace played at every level for Germany’s youth teams, from under-15s to under-20s, with his last appearance coming in November 2019.

Celtic currently lead the Scottish Premiership and will face Buckie Thistle in the Scottish Cup on January 21 following the winter break.
