REASONING FOR MY LEAVE: HART DISCUSSES QUIT DECISION

An emotional Joe Hart has explained why he is ending his 20-year career after an incredible club and country career.
The 36-year-old custodian, who was acquired for a low of £1 million from Spurs in August 2021, felt the time had come to end the speculation about his future.
Hart’s announcement has put an end to rumours that he would sign a contract extension, and the champions can now focus entirely on the vital final stretch of the season.

The 75-time England international stated, “I’ve been thinking about this for a while.” Is there ever a right or wrong time?
“There is a lot of heart and soul put into what we are doing as a football club, and that’s how this club works right now.”In light of the club’s overall objectives, its fan base, and the ongoing discussions regarding the goalie position for the upcoming season, I believe it was crucial to spread the word. Brendan and Stevie Woods were among the club members who helped make this possible.

It removes one topic from the table that is open to conjecture. I most certainly won’t be playing football next season and I won’t be there. I want to remove that from the discussion so that we can move on and discuss why.
“To the people who know me – who really know me – they know that’s not even a possibility,” Hart said in an interview with Celtic TV. Since I was wary of that, I value the club’s and the supporters’ tolerance when they recognise and comprehend this.
“This individual is not a check-out. This person is merely informing them because they believe it to be significant.I am eager to engage in those discussions. I am eager to delve into the what-ifs, what-buts, and maybes, the whys and hows, the highs and lows, and how I can share my experience with others in the hopes that they will grow from it or learn from it, and perhaps even provide me with some insight.

The main takeaway is that those discussions are for afterwards. I’m going to stop talking about this now.I just want to put my whole heart and soul into the game, represent this incredible club I play for, and concentrate on the task at hand.
“Mentally, I’m in that one place I like to be,” Hart continued. I am experiencing clarity. I have obviously given this a lot of thought. Numerous important factors have been involved.Perhaps eventually, should I look for something else, or should I make a strong effort to continue doing what I am doing for as long as possible? But no, this is the correct moment. I’m able to go to the club and explain my situation with complete clarity, and they are very understanding.

“After I made my decision, the most difficult thing for me was to explain that even though I plan to finish in June, I’m totally up for it. I remain deeply engaged and dedicated.
“My physical state is excellent. I feel the best I can given my age and the physical damage I’ve done to my body.
Since I was fifteen years old, and starting at sixteen, every day, I have been a reserve in professional football. My energy has peaked at times. You can’t get enough at 17, 18, 19, and 20.You begin to develop into a player at the greatest level when you turn 20. At the age of twenty to thirty, I was physically at my peak and the world was changing all around me.

“Football hasn’t always been as clean for me from 31 to 34 after I turned 30. Where was I, mentally? I’m not sure. I no longer felt as though I belonged somewhere.
“At the moment, I feel really well physically. I’ve taken every step I can to maintain the best possible physical and mental state for when it comes time to play my best. I’m at it right now. I believe that on game day, I truly shine.
However, I understand that time does not wait for a man, and I do not want my body to retire me. One of the crucial elements was believing I could truly win this race and cross the finish line.
On Sunday, at Fir Park, at midday, Hart will begin the countdown to the end of a colourful and decorated career when the champions take on Motherwell.
