Celtic hero Matt O’Riley shows his true class in the local Glasgow community

Celtics star Matt O’Riley has demonstrated his ability to give back to the community by working as a volunteer at Glasgow Children’s Hospital.

With 14 goals and 16 assists this season, O’Riley has been a standout player for the Celtics, but his class is shown off the pitch as well.
As a “Gaming Volunteer” for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, he has been visiting the children on the wards and fostering family unity recently.

“You may recognise our first-ever hospital gaming volunteer: football star Matt O’Riley,” the charity said. He plays in front of 60,000 fans on the weekends for Celtic FC, and he enjoys playing video games to relax after games.

Matt recently became a member of our amazing volunteer team at the children’s hospital. He has developed sincere relationships with families, contributing in some small way to their journey through the magic of gaming.

Matt O’Riley on his devotion to charity

“It’s a real privilege to be able to spend time with some of these kids and their families, and it’s really amazing that gaming can help bring a smile to their faces,” the midfield player said. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to spread happiness in the world.

With only a three-hour weekly commitment needed, the charity’s Gaming Volunteer programme is open to enthusiastic gamers who want to improve the lives of young patients in hospitals.
They have more information on their website if you’d like to contribute as well.

Fantastic work from Celtic’s newest midfield maestro

There is a lot of hype surrounding O’Riley at the moment. Big money and big moves are being discussed. It might easily get inside his head.

But we know the midfield player a little bit better than that. He’s a great guy who has consistently shown himself to be a modest and grounded person. This is compelling proof of that.

It’s wonderful to see him make a positive difference in Glasgow and Scotland’s lives. It is a blessing that he can represent Celtic.
