Morgan Gibbs-White has been a key player for Nottingham Forest as they secured Premier League safety

After an unpredictable season, Morgan Gibbs-White has expressed gratitude to Nottingham Forest supporters for their support.

The 24-year-old took to social media an hour after the Reds’ 2-1 victory over Burnley in the season finale to summarise an incredible campaign.
The attacker was on the pitch for the entire ninety minutes at Turf Moor, where Forest finished six points clear of the relegation zone thanks to two goals from Chris Wood.

Not too long after, he wrote on X and Instagram to his followers, saying, “What a season! filled with highs and lows, but one thing has always been there: your support. We are incredibly grateful for your love and belief in us. What a club and what a city!
But teammate Anthony Elanga’s comment, “Loved playing with you bro,” alarmed some responders, who questioned whether it was a joke, a typo, or a sign the former Wolves player was moving on.
Some people encouraged Gibbs-White to stay at the City Ground, with one saying, “Please don’t leave.”

This comes after Gibbs-White was rumoured to be moving to Tottenham in the summer—a trip Brennan Johnson took exactly a year prior. The deal that Gibbs-White signed in 2022 is still in effect for another three years.
