Journalist thinks Nottingham Forest will let two Steve Cooper duds leave this summer

It appears highly likely that Nottingham Forest will allow two unimpressive players who were signed by Steve Cooper to depart the team this summer.

Once again, the summer at the City Ground looks to be quite busy.
Now that the Reds have qualified for the Premier League for a third straight year, it’s time for the group to get going.

In order to adhere to financial fair play, Forest must sell someone, but funds will also be available for new deals.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s task is to bolster the team’s calibre while hoping to retain the majority of the star players.

There will probably be a process of streamlining, though, and some players will have to drop out.

According to a prominent journalist who supports Forest, two summer signings appear likely to depart this summer.

This week, award-winning journalist Daniel Taylor was interviewed about the future of certain Forest players.

He clarified that Odysseas Vlachodimos and Matt Turner, the club’s two goalkeepers, may now depart this summer.

Despite only having spent one season at Forest together, Taylor believes they will both yearn to play for the first team.

“Turner and Vlachodimos both want to play, so they will almost certainly leave,” he said to The Athletic.

Forest needs to sign a custodian as soon as possible.
Despite some positive work done by Forest in the summer, the two goalkeepers that were signed turned out to be very bad choices.

In retrospect, Vladodimos appeared to have a good chance of winning, but during his five Premier League appearances, he was not particularly impressive.

Espirito Santo can no longer rely on Turner because of his numerous mistakes; in January, Matz Sels took his spot.

There wouldn’t be any drama if the Belgian was the starting goalie the following season because he is a good one.

But if these two depart, Forest will need a new custodian, so they better get this one right.

It would be good to think that the Reds could draw in a younger goalie to provide competition, as Sels is currently in his thirties.

A strong custodian is essential for a Premier League team, so Espirito Santo needs to take care of this matter this summer.
