Henry Winter drops Everton, Nottingham Forest verdict as Manchester City news emerges
Henry Winter thinks the recent Manchester City news will absolutely destroy the supporters of Everton and Nottingham Forest.
The Champions are contesting a number of issues as part of the Citizens’ legal assault against the Premier League, according to the Times on June 4.
This occurs after the league deducted points for finding the Toffees and Forest guilty of financial violations.
On June 5, at 13:28, Henry, the former head football writer for the Times, said on Sky Sports’ YouTube channel, “The fans of Forest and Everton, absolutely (will be gutted).” They’ll notice that this is wholly inconsistent. All of these legal disputes, point reductions, and other matters must be resolved during the relevant season. The fact that the 115 charges, which City has denied, keep coming up time and time again is just absurd.
The Toffees and Nottingham Forest have both been found guilty of financial violations that resulted in point deductions; however, Manchester City’s 115 alleged charges of financial misconduct have not yet been settled.
