The 22-year-old scored in the Glasgow Derby victory over Rangers in December and contributed to the Scottish Cup Final victory over Rangers by collecting the ball from midfield, riding a tackle and forcing Butland into an error that Adam Idah capitalised on.
Celtic are negotiating a deal for Idah after agreeing to terms with Kasper Schmeichel and Viljami Sinisalo. Despite accusations on social media that the club was standing still and sluggish in the transfer market, it appears that they are working hard behind the scenes to complete deals.
