NOTTINGHAM TO BATTLE CRYSTAL PALACE FOR AMAZING WORLD CLASS WONDER KID

Nottingham Forest are still going in search of more players this summer as the club looks to enjoy a better campaign in the Premier League.

Forest finished 16th and 17th in their first two seasons back among the country’s elite, and Evangelos Marinakis is now hoping to continue.

So far, the team’s recruitment has been fairly successful, with Elliot Anderson, Nikola Milenkovic, and Carlos Miguel being the three most notable additions.

Forest are still looking to fill a few gaps in their squad, with Ismaila Sarr being one name on the radar.

Forest were recently linked with Sarr, but the club will face competition for the Marseille player this summer.
Premier League club goes all-in to sign Ismaila Sarr

According to The Sun’s transfer expert Alan Nixon, Crystal Palace is stepping up their efforts to sign Sarr this summer.

So far, the Eagles have had a quiet transfer window, which is probably a good thing given that five of their players will be representing England at Euro 2024.
On page 57 of today’s print edition, it is claimed that Palace will go all out to sign Sarr this summer.

The 26-year-old has played in England before, with Watford, where he scored 57 goals.

He made 35 appearances for Marseille last season, scoring five goals and assisting six times.

Senegalese hero El Hadji Diouf has previously described the player as ‘world-class’, and the winger wants to return to the Premier League.

Sarr’s signing makes little sense from the Forest perspective.
As good as Sarr is, he’s not the only right-footed winger linked with Forest this summer.

The Reds have right-footed options in Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga, but a left-footed player would provide some balance.

Sarr has a decent Premier League record, but it would be surprising if Forest signed another right-footed forward.

Both Elanga and Hudson-Odoi had successful campaigns in 2023/24, and they will look to build on that the next time out.

Sarr is eager to return to the Premier League, and Palace may be holding the cards with this particular deal.

Forest appear to be looking for the right players, though, and hopefully a few more additions can be made before the season begins.
