Joe Hart, the former goalie for Celtics, honoured the Hoops by staying at home and watching their victory this afternoon.
Hart is getting his first chance to watch Celtic play in a competitive game since he retired today.
Hart is going to miss playing, so it’s bittersweet, but there are benefits to his former team winning.
Hart posted on Instagram about how much he enjoyed seeing Celtic defeat Kilmarnock 4-0.
It’s obvious that Hart’s retirement hasn’t lessened his love for Celtic or his enthusiasm for the game.
Despite retiring at the end of the previous season, his words of encouragement and support demonstrate his ongoing connection to the team and its supporters.
Hart, who previously collaborated with custodian Kasper Schmeichel at Manchester City, will surely be impressed by Celtic’s summer acquisition of Schmeichel.
In front of the Celtic supporters at Celtic Park, Schmeichel started his career at Celtic with the best start possible this afternoon by maintaining a clean sheet.
