Winger who’s been linked with Wolves now set to join up with Nuno Espirito Santo in £11m transfer

Wolves have been strongly linked with a talented winger from South America this year- but it looks as though former Old Gold boss Nuno Espirito Santo will now be signing him.

Wanderers signed three players this summer, but they haven’t said anything for the past month or so.
During the preseason, Rodrigo Gomes, Pedro Lima, and Jorgen Strand Larsen have all made good impressions.

The sales of Pedro Neto and Max Kilman have some Wolves supporters concerned about the team’s recent inactivity, particularly in the wake of Neto’s sale.

It remains to be seen if O’Neil will place his trust in new signing Rodrigo and possibly rely on someone like Goncalo Guedes, or if the team will attempt to bring someone in after Neto, such as Carlos Forbes.

Ramon Sosa is one winger target who appears unlikely to sign with Wolves.

It was announced in May of this year that Wolves and Newcastle United were competing for Talleres player Ramon Sosa.

A few weeks later, it was mentioned that because the player was changing agents, Wolves had a “good chance” of landing a deal.
However, German Garcia Grova, the same journalist who made that assertion, later revealed in the middle of July that Wolves had withdrawn from the competition.
After Neto’s sale, Wolves might have piqued their interest once more. However, it appears that Sosa will be joining Nottingham Forest in order to work with Nuno Espirito Santo, the former manager of Wolves.

Sosa will reportedly pay £11 million to join the Reds, according to the Telegraph. Before this weekend’s Premier League opener against Bournemouth, they hope to finalise an agreement.

Journalist John Percy summarised X as follows: “The progress in negotiations with Talleres has brought #nffc closer to acquiring Paraguay international Ramón Sosa for approximately £11 million.” Sosa scheduled for medical this week, assuming negotiations go forward. Nuno has also stated that there is one more striker on the roster.

Interesting developments will occur at Forest with Sosa.

Unless there are any unforeseen circumstances, it appears that Sosa will join Nottingham Forest and collaborate with Nuno Espirito Santo.
Earlier in the summer, Wolves were regularly linked to the 24-year-old, but for various reasons, they ultimately decided against moving forward.
It will be interesting to watch how he does at Forest and how fast he adjusts.
Hopefully, Wolves won’t look back on him, but there did seem to be a reason for the club to stay out of it.
