Watch: Adam Idah Wins Goal of the Month for September
Thanks to his brilliant finish in the Hoops’ 6-0 thumping of St Johnstone, Adam Idah has been named the SPFL’s September Goal of the Month.
The goal completed a brilliant display of football by the Scottish champions, which began when Idah was brought off the bench.
The goal exemplified Celtic’s fluid, offensive playmaking style. Luke McCowan showed off his skill with a deft dink over the St Johnstone defense just before the goal, while Alex Valle showed off his skill with an incredible backheel to set up Idah. To cap off an incredible team move, the Irishman made no mistakes as he slotted the ball past the goalkeeper with ease.
The goal was a great team effort that had Celtic supporters and commentators applauding the flair and execution. It stood out as a brilliant display of fluid football. It was a goal that highlighted the Hoops’ domination that day and thoroughly deserving of the recognition as September’s greatest.
After setting high standards during his loan time with the club last season, Adam Idah came this summer for a record-breaking amount, which Arne Engels eclipsed in the same window.
In recent weeks, he began to find the back of the net, and he will try to keep doing so in an effort to push his way into the starting lineup.
