Two Defenders Miss Celtic Training as Alistair Johnston Takes Part
Alistair Johnston was observed throughout training even though he was not included in Canada’s international team because of injury concerns.
Cameron Carter-Vickers, though, is still conspicuously missing. Due to injuries, the American center defender has missed the last few games. He was not visible at training on Friday, so it is unclear if he will be available this weekend. If he stays out, Rodgers will have to depend on his defensive depth once more as Celtic tries to strengthen their defense following their midweek setbacks in Europe.
The training photos published by the SNS Group also lacked Greg Taylor, who was replaced after halftime during the Dortmund loss. It’s still unknown what his condition is and whether he will be available for the Dingwall match.
In his press conference on Friday afternoon, Brendan Rodgers will elaborate.
With an eye toward moving past the Dortmund outcome and getting back on track in the league, Celtic will be motivated to win on Sunday.
