Scott Brown Hilariously Revisits Alfredo Morelos Feud
The two had a fierce rivalry while they were players for Glasgow’s big two. The Colombian attacker finally became something of a laughing joke, as Brown consistently outplayed him.
The 39-year-old frequently provoked and frustrated Morelos while sharing the pitch with him.
After their arguments during Glasgow derbies, they have parted ways, but Brown has recently thought back on their rivalry.
Given how simple it was to wind up Morelos, the Celtic great called him “stupid.”
“He’d always bite, he fell for it that much that, he was stupid to be fair,” said Brown (Let Me Be Frank Podcast via Football Scotland).
To be honest, the number of times I got him dismissed—it was just his ignorance. The ambiance of the game truly captures your attention. Because it’s so clever, it appeals to everyone, yet not everyone can appreciate it.
Brown enjoyed playing in Celtic matches all of his Celtic career.
Either with Morelos or El Hadji Diouf, he constantly appeared to be engaged in a personal conflict with a rival player.
However, Brown has come a long way as the manager of Ayr United.
He’s playing brilliantly for Somerset Park, who at the conclusion of the season should be promoted to the Scottish Premiership.
It says a lot about Brown’s managerial credentials that he turned down the St. Johnstone job last week.
He could have been in the dugout for the Perth side’s clash with Celtic last Sunday although he opted to stay on the coast in a respectable show of loyalty.
