Celtic Defender Set for Big Sunday Opportunity
Alex Valle, a defender for Celtic, will get the start for the Hoops against Ross County on Sunday.
It coincides with Greg Taylor’s calf problem. In the remaining two games for the Celts, he was substituted at halftime, and Valle replaced him.
With his plays, the Spanish left-back hasn’t hurt himself.
He came on midweek against Dortmund after setting up Adam Idah with a clever backheel for the SPFL’s September Goal of the Month against St. Johnstone last weekend.
The Barcelona loanee made his debut with his team trailing 5-1, but other than giving over the ball for Felix Nmecha to score the seventh goal of the game, he performed admirably.
Valle deserves his chance tomorrow since, in contrast to many of his teammates, he demonstrated guts and desire against Dortmund.
He has only made one start for Celtic, in the league cup match against Falkirk two weeks ago.
Given that he is starting in what is probably going to be a full-strength lineup tomorrow, it will be a strong indicator of his level as the team was largely rotated that day.
Valle has the ideal chance to make a strong case for a regular starting spot in the Celtic lineup.
After the international break, Taylor is anticipated to return, therefore the 20-year-old needs to seize this chance.
