“There is a sizable sports bar with TVs for live sports as soon as you walk in, as well as a separate lounge bar with newly added cuisine. High foot traffic, lounge party rentals, an expanding menu, and packed matchdays (when Celtic play both at home and away) are all advantages for the business.

The Gallagher family, who had operated the Tavern for 23 years, announced in May of last year that they were leaving the company. “Well, this may be the hardest post we’ve ever had to write, but we do it from the bottom of our hearts,” they wrote on Facebook. “First of all, thank you so much for your support over the past 20 years on behalf of Mr. and Mrs. G and their wonderful staff. In the small tavern, we’ve had numerous highs and even made it through the most peculiar period for everyone—the COVID-19 pandemic. The most significant aspect of all that we will miss is the patrons of this tavern, who are truly unmatched. Over the years, every employee has made a lot of friends, and you are very important to all of us.
