Brendan Rodgers Confirms Celtic Injury Blow
Brendan Rodgers said that Cameron Carter-Vickers did not travel with the team because of an injury, which is a major blow for Celtic ahead of their Champions League match against Atalanta on Wednesday.
After training last week and before the weekend encounter against Aberdeen, there were great expectations that the American defender would be healthy. However, he was left off of the matchday squad, and those expectations have now been shattered for Wednesday’s match.
As anticipated, Greg Taylor is still out in addition to Carter-Vickers. In order to guarantee a favorable outcome against the Italian team, Celtic will be depending on their current roster, which means Alex Valle will continue to start in defense.

Given his significance to Celtic’s backline, Carter-Vickers’ injury is a setback, but Rodgers will be hoping his team can still win in spite of these significant absences.
In Bergamo, Auston Trusty will probably line up next to Liam Scales.
In recent weeks, the American has faced a great deal of criticism. He wasn’t exactly off to a great start in the Hoops after signing a £6 million contract in the summer.
With a powerful performance on Wednesday night, he hopes to silence some of his skeptics.
