Everton fans will despair over latest Premier League referee decision ahead of Fulham clash
Due to his involvement in multiple controversial calls during the Liverpool vs. Chelsea game over the weekend, Brooks is the most recent Premier League referee to be entangled in controversy.
Dan Burn acknowledged that referee Craig Pawson may have given the Blues a penalty kick for his challenge on Dominic Calvert-Lewin during the 0-0 draw with Newcastle United, one of the several officiating scandals the team has faced this season.
The fans will hope that Brooks learns from his mistakes at Anfield as the Premier League assigns him to officiate on Saturday at Goodison Park after Sean Dyche lost a crucial three points that day.
Everton cannot allow the officials to decide the result against Fulham
The fact that Brooks chose not to dismiss Tosin Adarabioyo for a foul on Diogo Jota, which was the same infraction that resulted in William Saliba’s dismissal for Arsenal against Bournemouth and denied Liverpool a stonewall penalty, put him in the spotlight at Anfield.
After the events of the previous season, Everton and the Premier League already have a tense relationship. Although the team does not have an agenda against the team, the players must make every effort to prevent an officiating decision from deciding the outcome on the weekend.
If the referee puts on a similarly devastating display at Goodison Park, with the team finally getting back on track in the league, the Everton supporters won’t be scared to express their feelings to him.
