Adam Idah’s Lennoxtown injury update
Adam Idah has been spotted practicing at Lennoxtown with his Celtic teammates six days after suffering an injury against Motherwell.
With pictures from training posted this morning ahead of Saturday’s League Cup semi-final matchup against Aberdeen, there were concerns that the striker might be sidelined for an extended amount of time, but that appears doubtful.
During Sunday’s 3-0 victory at Fir Park, Liam Gordon viciously challenged Idah during stoppage time.
After consulting the VAR monitor, David Dickinson changed the initial yellow card to a red.
Idah continued to play but missed Wednesday’s 2-0 victory over Dundee at home after leaving Fir Park with a foot in a moonboot.
Despite Daizen Maeda’s excellent cover at the beginning of the season, Rodgers is abruptly left without choices with Idah’s departure, as Kyogo Furuhashi is the only other true attacker in the first team squad.
Before the international break, Celtic will play Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Sunday, November 10, after their cup match against Aberdeen. They will also host RB Leipzig on Tuesday.
