Celtic receive big injury boost ahead of Hearts trip
Celtic have been handed a timely boost ahead of their Saturday night clash with Hearts, as striker Adam Idah has returned to training following an injury that saw him withdraw from international duty with Ireland.
The forward was pictured by SNS Group back in action on Thursday, suggesting he could be fit and available for selection at Tynecastle.
The match is made more intriguing by the odd 7:45 p.m. kickoff, as the Hoops try to continue their winning streak in the Premiership. Although it’s unclear if Idah will start ahead of Kyogo Furuhashi, who has been adroitly leading the line, his availability gives manager Brendan Rodgers another offensive option.
It is commonly known that Idah has been struggling with injuries lately. During Celtic’s triumph at Fir Park, Liam Gordon gave him a terrible tackle. He then experienced more pain at Rugby Park, where he needed extensive care for a bloodied nose. His return to fitness despite these obstacles is a nice boost as Celtic manage a packed schedule of games.
Against a Hearts team that is known for their aggressive style, Idah’s physical presence and new legs might be helpful.
Kyogo shouldn’t be very exhausted because he hasn’t played many minutes and has been traveling to and from Japan recently.
