Report: Evangelos Marinakis makes big promise to Nuno if Nottingham Forest qualify for Europe
Evangelos Marinakis makes big promise to Nuno Espirito Santo.
Few could have predicted that conclusion before a ball was kicked, so from a Forest standpoint, European football would make for an incredible campaign.
It was generally agreed that this season may see improvement and that avoiding relegation would have been a sign of a successful campaign.
Any of the three leagues would be amazing, though, and there is now real hope that European football will be on the radar for the upcoming season.
According to the Daily Mail, Marinakis is keen to reward the people at the football club should European football be secured.
It’s believed that Espirito Santo will be in line for a huge cash incentive if he leads Forest back into Europe for the first time since 1996.
His contract includes a big incentive for him to qualify for Europe with a cash bounty due should the Reds finish in a position to achieve the unthinkable.
Forest fans will hold memories of 1995/96 European adventure.
After winning consecutive European trophies, supporters of a certain age will never forget it.
Others, though, may recall the 1995–96 season, when Forest advanced to the UEFA Cup quarterfinals under Frank Clark.

During the road to the final eight, the City Ground hosted several incredibly entertaining games, making the trip unforgettable.
These days, the format is very different, with each team in all three competitions playing eight different teams and the extended group stage taking center stage.
As fans we really are in dreamland at the moment and it’s tough not to imagine what things might be like next season if European football is guaranteed.
