Morgan Gibbs-White shares why he celebrated in front of Wolves fans after Nottingham Forest win
Morgan Gibbs-White shares why he celebrated vs Wolves
Gibbs-White was hailed by Jamie Carragher and Tom Cairney during Monday Night Football and he richly deserved the plaudits.
After the game, the hot topic was surrounding why he chose to celebrate as he did against his former club.
Given that the home team’s chants were, to put it mildly, disgusting, he was had to be a little cheeky with the celebration.
“There’s a lot of rivalry going on there with me and Wolves, but that’s what makes football,” the Forest skipper said during the live Sky broadcast.
“It’s all love and banter, that’s the way I take it anyway.”
Gibbs-White stats vs Wolves
Once again, the Forest star shone against his former club and they must now be sick of the sight of him.
Gibbs-White was obviously trying to beat his old team, and he achieved just that during the match.
Stats for Morgan Gibbs-White against WolvesMinutes Total: 87 Goals1 aerial victory, 4 passes, 46 passes, and 76.1% pass accuracy
After a deft assist from Anthony Elanga,he scored, and since the beginning of December, he has contributed six goals.
As the season goes on, Forest will be hoping Gibbs-White can maintain this form and finish comfortably inside the Premier League’s top four.
This season, Wolves won’t have to deal with his genius again, and it’s rather amazing that Gibbs-White has once again outdone Wolves following the repulsive chanting.
