Mike Dean says there was a serious error made during Wolves vs Nottingham Forest

What Mike Dean said about Forest’s penalty appeal.

Wood appeared to be on the receiving end of a Forest ball that was launched into the box just before the half, but it appeared to take a hit off Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen’s arm. Although it did not seem to be intentional, it still made the City Ground want a spot kick.

Speaking on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday, former Premier League referee Mike Dean actually admitted Hooper may have made a mistake with this one.

“It looked a penalty [for Forest]. It’s come over his head and Larsen just moved his left arm and knocked the ball out of Wood’s way in the box,” he said.

“I’m surprised, it would have been looked at and cleared but I think the Wolves defender is a lucky boy.”

Chris Wood provides Forest fans with striker answer

Forest were one of the Premier League’s busiest sides in the summer market with double digit players coming through the doors.

However, because Santiago Gimenez turned down the opportunity to join Forest, Forest was unable to acquire a new striker.

However, Chris Wood’s early-season displays are demonstrating to Forest supporters that they have the New Zealand striker they need.

The only problem Forest might encounter up top is an injury to Wood, since Nuno doesn’t have any true quality available to rotate the former Newcastle United striker.
