Fabrizio Romano reveals ‘initial interest’ in Rangers midfielder
Rangers midfielder Tom Lawrence has attracted transfer interest from Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas, according to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The Istanbul-based team, managed by former Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjær, is reportedly keen on securing the services of the 31-year-old. Solskjær’s previous experience coaching Lawrence during his time at Old Trafford adds an intriguing connection to the potential move.
With six months remaining on his Rangers contract, Lawrence is now eligible to engage in discussions with other clubs regarding a pre-contract agreement. Since joining the club, the midfielder has made 56 appearances, contributing 11 goals and seven assists.
However, Lawrence has been absent from the pitch since last November’s Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Motherwell, where he came on as a second-half substitute.

Meanwhile, Rangers manager Philippe Clement has been active in reshaping the squad during the January transfer window. Loan moves have already been arranged for young players Robbie Fraser and Cole McKinnon. Additionally, the club is in advanced discussions to bring Lille defender Rafael Fernandes to Ibrox on loan.
A move for Dundee midfielder Lyall Cameron is also progressing, as Rangers look to make further additions before the January transfer window closes in just over two weeks.
