Nottingham Forest
A Nottingham Forest midfielder is wanted by both Juventus and Napoli.
According to Sky Sports Deutschland, Juventus and Napoli are interested in signing Belgian international Orel Mangala from Nottingham Forest.
It is well known that the two Serie A clubs are looking for midfield reinforcements during the January transfer window, and they have frequently targeted the same players.
This is somewhat unavoidable given that Juve hired director of sport Cristiano Giuntoli from Napoli over the summer, so they have a wish-list of options.
According to reports in Germany, the latest battle is over Mangala, a 25-year-old Belgian international with 12 senior caps.
His contract with Nottingham Forest expires in June 2026, and he appears to be available in the January transfer window.
He joined the Premier League club in July 2022 from VfB Stuttgart for €13 million and has made 18 appearances this season, scoring one goal.
The asking price is likely to be around €25 million, which could pose a problem for both Juve and Napoli in the middle of the season.
That is roughly the amount Napoli was negotiating with Udinese for Lazar Samardzic before Juventus seemingly intervened with a summer proposal.
in other news, Nottingham Forest sent a warning message to Ivan Toney ahead of Brentford’s return.
