Nottingham Forest are willing to pay £6 million for Nino. “We have to understand that it is the player’s dream to play in Europe, and he deserves it,” Bittencourt tells the Charla podcast, admitting that Nino has little interest in extending his contract, which expires in a year.

Nuno admits Tottenham squad needs more balance | The Independent“Over time, Nino received several offers. Bittencourt adds, “He had one from the Middle East, which was good for Fluminense.” ‘President, I don’t want to play in the Middle East,’ he said as he entered my office. My family has made the decision. ‘I’d like to play in Europe.’

“What arrived first was Nottingham Forest.”

Things appear to have slowed down a little in recent weeks. But don’t worry, Forest fans: Nino’s most likely destination remains the City Ground.
Nino has joined Nuno.
According to Championat, the one-time Brazil international, whose full name is Marcilio Florencio Mota Filho, is in talks with Russian giants Zenit St Petersburg, but his preferred move remains the Premier League. Nottingham Forest are in first place. Forest is also willing to do something that Zenit is not: trigger the £6 million release clause in his Fluminense contract (O Dia).

As a result, the 26-year-old centre-half would become the second Brazilian defender to join Forest in as many months, following in the footsteps of former Corinthians starlet Murillo.
