Alistair Johnston’s Message to Celtic Fans Following A Night of Many Positives
Alistair Johnston scored again for Celtic in last night’s 2-0 Scottish Premiership victory over Dundee.
The Bhoys cruised to a comfortable victory, with plenty of opportunities to score more goals than they did.
Johnston was introduced in the 57th minute and quickly became involved in the game.
On the hour mark, winger Yang Hyun-jun dropped his shoulder, and Johnston’s left boot deflected his cross past a helpless Jon McCracken.
Late last night, the Canadian took to Instagram and told fans to enjoy their night:
Johnston can’t stop scoring at the moment. He scored a fantastic diving header against Motherwell over the weekend, and within three minutes of coming on last night, the 26-year-old had scored.
The defender is the second-highest scorer in the Scottish Premiership, having tripled his goal tally in green and white since the start of the season.
Johnston was named in-stadium Man of the Match for his antics last night, despite the fact that he only played for slightly more than 30 minutes.
Johnston and his teammates had a productive night, increasing their lead in the Scottish Premiership over city rivals Rangers to a massive nine points.
All attention now shifts to the league cup for the Bhoys, with Aberdeen waiting at Hampden on Saturday night.
