Celtic have discovered an unexpected injury issue ahead of their Scottish Premiership trip to Livingston this weekend.

Indeed, winger Yang, who recently served a two-game suspension, has returned from international duty with South Korea’s under-23s with a minor, and unexpected, issue.

Manager Brendan Rodgers spoke to the media at Lennoxtown this afternoon and commented on the Hoops’ jersey number 13. He stated: [Celtic FC on YouTube] “Yang has come back with a bit of tightness.

“We just need to make sure that’s nothing more serious. He obviously played 2 60 minutes and a 30 minutes while he was away so he’s come back a little bit tight so we just need to check and make sure he’s okay.”

It is unclear whether the 21-year-old will play on Sunday due to his injury, but if he does not, fans should not be too concerned.

Nicolas Kuhn is starting to find his form, and Daizen Maeda’s run of games is only going to help. Furthermore, with his recent cameo appearances, James Forrest has thrown his hat in the ring for a starting spot.

Despite the absences of Yang, Luis Palma, and Callum McGregor, the Bhoys should have enough to beat a Livingston team that has struggled all season.
