With Crystal Palace emerging as a serious contender for this summer’s signing of Jobe Bellingham, Sunderland can expect to face intense transfer interest in this player.

The Premier League team has made the 18-year-old a top priority during their summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano. Bellingham completed his senior football season last year with 47 appearances across all competitions.

Bellingham is reportedly a target for Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner, and Dougie Freedman, the director of football, is spearheading the hunt. Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze were instrumental in Palace’s successful Premier League campaign finish, as they were among the players recruited from the EFL in recent seasons.

After joining Palace from Blackburn Rovers in the January transfer window, Adam Wharton has already been called up for his first England cap and is reportedly drawing interest from Bayern Munich.

Bellingham is reportedly attracting interest from more teams than just Palace; Brentford is reportedly keeping tabs on his development in an effort to bolster their midfield. The 18-year-old has also been observed by Serie A team Lazio, who were strongly linked to a move in the closing days of the January transfer window.

Bellingham’s contract was not made public when he joined the team in the summer, but it is believed to have several seasons remaining. As a result, if Sunderland is to be persuaded to sell, a sizable sum will be required.
