The Hoops travel to Bergamo looking to rebound from yesterday’s disappointing 2-2 draw with Aberdeen. The Celtics have received a welcome boost as they strive to do so.

Indeed, the Glasgow Times reports that former Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac, who has 60 Bosnia and Herzegovina caps, is out with the flu and a’major doubt’ for midweek.

Injured captain Rafael Toloi will miss the game, as will Odilon Kossounou and ex-West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca, who has 20 caps for Italy.

In addition, Marco Brescianini and Giorgio Scalvini, two more Italian internationals, will be absent for Atalanta.

Despite their numerous absences, the Serie A team deserves the utmost respect heading into Wednesday.

Regardless of Atalanta’s injuries, if Celtic defends like they did in the second half against Aberdeen this week, fans can expect another long European night.
