Awaiting official announcement, Celtic new signing spotted on flight to America wearing Celtic gear
Celtic may not have officially confirmed the signing of 22-year-old Finnish goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo, but he is on the Celtic squad’s flight to America wearing Celtic gear, so we’ll connect the dots. The player has signed a five-year contract with Aston Villa.

Sinisalo played 50 games for Exeter City, demonstrating his abilities and gaining valuable experience. The Finnish international has already established himself as a consistent presence between the sticks. He kept 13 clean sheets throughout the season and saved three of the eight penalties he faced.
Many people were impressed by Sinisalo’s performances in League One, but with so many custodian options at Aston Villa, Sinisalo’s path to the first team was blocked. Celtic took advantage of this opportunity, signing a promising young player with many years to develop and impress.
Sinisalo is expected to start as a backup custodian for the Hoops. With the impending arrival of Kasper Schmeichel as the number one, Sinisalo’s role will be critical in providing depth and competition in the position. Above all, he is being groomed to be Celtic’s next number one, working alongside Kasper and guided by Stevie Woods.
