Barry Ferguson Fires Back at Rangers Doubters – Here’s When He Says Judgment Should Come
New Rangers caretaker boss, Barry Ferguson, has made it clear that his critics should hold their judgment until the end of his three-month stint in charge.

The legendary Ibrox captain, recently appointed after Philippe Clement’s sacking, is determined to prove the doubters wrong and has no qualms about being judged on his results at the end of the season. Ferguson, who has previous managerial experience at lower league clubs Kelty Hearts, Clyde, and Alloa, along with a short-term stint at Blackpool, believes he can turn around a Rangers team that has hit a low point.
“I’ll be judged at the end of the three months,” Ferguson said[Record Sport]. “I have no problem with that. We’re taking this seriously. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, but we’re all in. You’ll see that from me and my staff.”

As he prepares to lead Rangers into their first game under his guidance against Kilmarnock, Ferguson remains focused on getting a positive response from a squad still reeling from recent shocking defeats to Queen’s Park and St Mirren.
Ferguson is also confident that his experience as a player—lifting 15 major trophies, including five league titles—will give him the tools to lead the team forward. He’s also committed to keeping James Tavernier as the club’s captain, despite the upheaval at Ibrox. “I’ve spoken to James. He’ll give 100 percent to lead us until the end of the season,” Ferguson stated.
With Ferguson’s no-nonsense approach, the pressure is on as Rangers’ next challenge is a tough away fixture against Kilmarnock. The fans will be watching closely to see if he can spark the turnaround the club desperately needs.
