He’s had the operation, and you know, he’s had rumblings there, and it may have taken him the entire year to recover and then have a good preseason, but he’s back on the pitch, and hopefully he’ll be fine in the next few weeks.”

Meanwhile, Rodgers is awaiting further medical advice on Alistair Johnston, who suffered a fractured skull during the midweek win at Easter Road. He added, “We are just waiting to see him again. A small fracture on the side. However, it could last anywhere from 10 days to four weeks. “We’ll have to wait and see.”
