Brendan Rodgers’ SPFL Snub
The SPFL has rejected Brendan Rodgers for their August Manager of the Month honour.
The Celtic manager has led his team to a strong start to the season, winning five of their first five games. The Hoops are playing some really good stuff and have not given up in the league.
Celtic appears to be a well-oiled machine, and their play from the previous term shows obvious tactical progressions.
But despite their explosive start to the season, manager Aaron Rodgers was not the recipient of the August Manager of the Month honour.
In fact, Jimmy Thelin received the award from the SPFL for his outstanding performance in his first few weeks at Pittodrie.
The Swedish manager entered the game and hasn’t lost yet as as Aberdeen manager.
If you include the league cup group stages, the Dons have won ten of their previous ten games this season. It’s been the best start Granite City residents could have asked for.
Although Rodgers can feel a little unfortunate considering the Bhoys’ start, Thelin is a deserving recipient of the first Manager of the Month award for 2024–2025.
They have played flawlessly and will try to keep up their unbeaten record this Saturday when Hearts visit Celtic Park.
