Storylines To Watch

  • How the Browns press Quarterback Russell Wilson — The Steelers’ quarterback Russell Wilson returned in Week 7, and the team has not lost a game since. Wilson’s veteran presence at the helm of the offense has played an important role in the Steelers’ recent success, as they are 8-2 and lead the AFC North. In four games this season, Wilson has completed 73 of 121 passes for 942 yards, six touchdowns, and two interceptions. Wilson has also been sacked 12 times in four games. The Browns’ pass rush will need to apply plenty of pressure on Wilson and limit his ability to throw the ball to available receivers.
  • How do the Browns respond in a short week— The Browns are coming off a 35-14 loss to the Saints in Week 11, and they will host the Steelers just four days later. They return home to face a division opponent and rival, the Steelers, and hope to pick up another win on the season. The Browns must quickly forget about their loss to the Saints as they strive to improve on all three sides of the ball in order to secure a much-needed divisional victory. The Browns defeated another division opponent, the Ravens, in Week 8 for their second victory of the season.
  • How does the Browns limit WR George Pickens— The Browns secondary will face a difficult matchup against Steelers WR George Pickens, who has demonstrated his speed and athleticism during his three seasons in Pittsburgh. In ten games this season, Pickens has 48 receptions for 728 yards and two touchdowns. This season, his longest catch was 44 yards, and he averages 15.2 yards per reception. Pickens has also shown a connection with Wilson, as he has 293 yards and two touchdowns in four games with him.
