Callum Hudson-Odoi shares what he did for Nottingham Forest this season that really upset his dad
Callum Hudson-Odoi talks about his father’s words following his goal against Liverpool.
With the Reds winning at Anfield for the first time since 1969 and quieting the home crowd, Forest beat the odds against Liverpool.
Since then, the Reds haven’t really improved, and the Forest head coach was displeased with the team’s performance against Fulham over the weekend.
Though Hudson-Odoi is a player who enjoys support from the crowd, he was initially benched for the match against Liverpool.
In the 72nd minute, he came off the bench to score the game-winning goal, risking the wrath of his family, especially his elderly father!
Hudson-Odoi told the Daily Mail: “I got a great message from my dad. It said: “I love you son and I am proud of you… but I hate what you’ve done to my team”. I have so many Liverpool fans around me. My brother, my dad. So I knew if we won they would kill me!”
