CELTIC £3.5m MISFIT ON MOVE
FORMER Celtic £3.5million misfit striker Patryk Klimala has joined his THIRD club inside a year after agreeing a loan deal with A-League side Sydney FC.
The Polish striker, who signed a one-year contract with a buyout option, came to the Hoops in January 2020 after leaving Jagiellonia Białystok.
When Klimala transferred from Israeli team Hapoel Be’er Sheva to homeland club Slask Wroclaw on January 1, 2024, he signed a three-and-a-half-year contract.
The 26-year-old attacker is hoping to restart his career in Australia after a dismal 15 months at Parkhead, where he was unable to find any spark.
Klimala joined the New York Red Bulls of the Major League Soccer (MLS) and scored 14 goals in 62 games after managing just three goals in 28 appearances for the Celtics.
Before he was picked up by the Polish side, his contract with Hapoel was terminated by mutual consent in October of last year.
Now the misfiring marksman is hoping a change of country might bring a change of luck.
