The Celtic FC Foundation has arranged an exciting charity match at Parkhead where Celtic Legends will face off against the legendary players of Borussia Dortmund.

Prior to the event starting on May 26 at 2:00 pm, a few well-known names have already been revealed. Tickets are still widely accessible through the official club website.

While Scott Brown will lead the Bhoys out, a star-studded group of people will be taking part in the name of a worthy cause, including Emilio Izaguirre, Charlie Mulgrew, Joe Ledley, Gary Hooper, Stephen McManus, Darren O’Dea, and Jan Venegoor of Hesselink.

The entire amount of money raised for the event will be split between several locations in the UK and Ireland in order to provide food assistance in the midst of the ongoing crisis caused by rising living expenses.

In keeping with one of Celtic’s founding principles—giving aid through altruistic deeds—the Celtic Foundation is also scheduled to receive a donation from the Dundee Cancer Centre at Ninewells Hospital.
As the season draws to a close, more players will be revealed in due course on what promises to be an action-packed afternoon.

Artur Boruc is back for a cameo in Celtic Legends.

Unexpectedly, Celtic has revealed that legendary former goalie Artur Boruc, also referred to as the “Holy Goalie,” will make a comeback to play for the Legends team against Borussia Dortmund.

The 44-year-old played 201 games for Celtic across all competitions between 2005 and 2010, recording 80 clean sheets along the way and winning three Scottish Premiership titles, one Scottish Cup, and two Scottish League Cup trophies.

Boruc’s final game before he retired from professional football in 2022 was against Celtic, demonstrating his close ties to both clubs and their fan bases.

Now that we have the opportunity to watch him play again at Parkhead, there will undoubtedly be excitement building before our Legends play Borussia Dortmund.
