Celtic could be about to sign ‘incredible’ Bojan Miovski – pundit
Celtic must be cautious not to spend too much of their January budget on reported target Bojan Miovski.
Former Rangers and Tottenham defender Alan Hutton praised the Aberdeen striker as “incredible” this season, speaking exclusively to Football Insider.
According to Football Insider (28 December), the Hoops have a three-man January transfer list and have prioritised the signing of a center-forward.
According to Football Insider (29 December), Brendan Rodgers’ side has up to £10 million to spend in the winter transfer window.
Hutton acknowledged that Miovski would bring “something a little bit different” to the squad, but warned Rodgers not to overspend in one position because Celtic are thin elsewhere.
“They can’t spend all of their money on the striker position,” he explained to Football Insider.
“At that point, they’ll be short elsewhere.” Miovski is an incredible player who caused real problems for the Rangers.
“He scores goals and checks every box.” It’s something Celtic could benefit from.
“Of course, they have Oh Hyeon-gyu, who is a young player getting used to the league.
“Kyogo Furuhashi also scores goals, but every now and then you need something a little different.”
“Miovski gives you that.” If they can get him for the right price, they’ll take him if Aberdeen is willing to sell.”However, they must ensure that funds are available for the other positions that Brendan Rodgers wishes to fill.
