So far, the Hoops have failed to add a left-back in the window, which has exacerbated the problem.

Celtic will be without Greg Taylor for a “few weeks” due to a calf injury, leaving Brendan Rodgers with a left-back problem.

With Alexandro Bernabei out of the picture, the Hoops were already looking for a new player in that position to challenge their undisputed first pick. They have yet to add one, with winger Nicolas Kuhn being their only signing of the January transfer window.

Greg Taylor injury timeline revealed as Celtic left-back set for spell on sidelines
So they didn’t want Taylor to arrive with an injury, but that’s exactly what happened. Rodgers has revealed that the 26-year-old suffered a calf injury near the end of Celtic’s victory over Buckie Thistle and will miss the next few weeks of action.
The Northern Irishman stated, “Greg will be out for a few weeks.” During the weekend game, he experienced a minor calf strain. So he’s out, which is unfortunate because he’s been excellent and consistent throughout the season thus far.”

Bernabei could be a replacement, but he hasn’t played since a mid-December game against Hearts and has only made four appearances this season.

Liam Scales could also move from centre-back, and youngster Mitchel Frame has seen first-team action.
