Celtic-Linked Striker Is Clearly Preferring Middlesbrough
Celtic linked striker Tommy Conway has a clear preference for Middlesbrough despite interest from other clubs, including in the Championship and the Premier League, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Scottish striker scored ten goals in the Championship for Bristol City’s eleventh-place finish in the standings last season.
Given that he is anticipated to leave the team this month, he was not included in the starting lineup for Bristol City’s 1-0 loss to Hull earlier today.
In the current transfer window, Middlesbrough is in advanced talks to sign the striker from their fellow Championship team.
Conway is rumoured to prefer to relocate to Middlesbrough this summer.
Although Conway appears to have his heart set on the Riverside, Scottish champions Celtic have been linked to a move for the player.
The Premier League and the Championship are also interested, but Conway has a clear favourite.
His outstanding play in the previous season earned him a spot in the Scotland squad, and in June he made his debut abroad.
