Brendan Rodgers, Celtic manager, has reduced the price of his luxury English mansion by £200,000 as he seeks to sell it.

The Parkhead boss, 51, paid £3.95 million for the upmarket property on an exclusive street in Wilmslow, Cheshire, in the summer of 2022.
He listed the house for sale last August for offers over £4.2 million, but after failing to find a buyer, he reduced the asking price to £4 million.
The stunning property features five bedrooms, a gym, landscaped gardens, a double garage and a bar area.
It also includes CCTV, underfloor heating, air conditioning in the majority of the bedrooms, electronically controlled blinds, and ceiling speakers.

Planning permission has also been granted for the construction of ‘leisure facilities’. According to property agent Sofia Da Silva, “Every part of this property is finished exceptionally and immaculately.”
Last November, following the death of his beloved wife Cathy, legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson listed his home on the same street for sale for £3.5 million.

Rodgers was the victim of a terrifying robbery at his £1.6 million home in Bearsden, near Glasgow, in 2019, shortly after leaving Celtic.

He was not present on the property, but his family was forced to hide in a bathroom as robbers stormed in and stole medals.

A description of the house was complemented by the following: “An exceptional double gable-fronted contemporary residence finished to an uncompromising standard located on one of Wilmslow’s most prestigious roads.”
Rodgers won back-to-back trebles in his first spell at Glasgow and had seven trophies in total before leaving for Leicester in February 2019.

He led the Midlands club to the UEFA Europa League and FA Cup, but departed after a string of poor results. Rodgers rejoined Celtic to replace Ange Postecoglou, who had left for Tottenham.
