Celtic Star’s Exit to be Announced
Neil Lennon’s Rapid Bucharest is poised to bolster its squad with the acquisition of goalkeeper Ben Siegrist.
While Siegrist was regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the league at Dundee United, he was unable to establish himself in the Celtic lineup after joining the team under former manager Ange Postecoglou.
Siegrist has already finished his medical at Rapid Bucharest, and according to Mark Hendry’s tweets, his transfer could be formally announced as early as this evening, Wednesday, since the necessary formalities have almost been completed.
After Celtic signed Viljami Sinisalo and Kasper Schmeichel as goalkeepers during this transfer window, his departure from the team appeared inevitable.
Apart from the alterations in goalkeeping, Rodgers has disclosed that Celtic is proactively seeking to acquire additional players. He attested to the fact that talks have been held with the Celtic board in order to identify and acquire target players.
The manager claims that the team won’t be stagnant and anticipates adding some new players to push the group to new heights.
