Celtic submits an application for an additional safe-standing section at Parkhead.
The advent of the new campaign is eagerly anticipated by Celtic supporters, and some interesting news about the matchday experience at Parkhead has surfaced.
The 60,000-strong home crowd cheers on Brendan Rodgers’ team, hoping to create a boisterous atmosphere that will push them over the finish line.
Naturally, the Green Brigade is heavily involved in this, adding colour, noise, and a focal point for the shouts that are sung throughout the stadium.
Their impact has increased significantly since their sizable section was transformed into rail seating in 2016, and it is evident that their enthusiasm extends off the pitch.
There is now word of another development that may contribute to elevating the mood at Parkhead to a new level.
Celtic requests for another standing section.
Celtic has requested rail seats in the South West corner to accommodate the BHOYS, possibly adding another safe standing area at Parkhead, according to the official website of Glasgow City Council.
After a submission was submitted on February 14th, 2024, the subject is stated to be “pending consideration” and the figure mentioned in the application is 455.
If approved, it is uncertain when the installation of this proposal will be finished; however, there would be a great deal of enthusiasm if the plan were implemented.
Faxsoccer will keep supporters informed about any upcoming changes, and ideally Parkhead can remain a challenging place for other clubs to contend with in both home games and for European teams travelling to Glasgow’s east end.
With a new campaign quickly approaching, Celtic will be keen to leave their mark by winning more trophies.
