Celtic vs. St. Johnstone: Everything You Should Know
Celtic will look to continue their unbeaten start to the season this Saturday when they face a managerless St Johnstone in Premiership action.
Former Celtic captain Scott Brown, who recently signed a new contract with Ayr, was a contender for the St Johnstone managerial position following Craig Levein’s departure, but has since ruled himself out.
Brendan Rodgers and his team will travel to Perthshire for an evening kick-off, hoping to extend their lead over Rangers and, at the very least, remain level on points with Aberdeen at the top of the table, who play at 3pm.
When will the game start?
Celtic have a strange kick-off time this weekend. The Hoops will begin at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, September 28 at McDiarmid Park in St Johnstone.
What TV channel?
Premier Sports 1 will broadcast the game as part of their new agreement with the SPFL.
Team News
Celtic have a few injury concerns, particularly in defence. Cameron Carter-Vickers could be a doubt after missing last weekend’s cup match against Falkirk. Alistair Johnston also missed out due to injury.
Away Support.
Approximately 4,390 Celtic fans are expected to fill the stands.
Match officials
Don Robertson will serve as the referee, assisted by Daniel McFarlane and Craig Ferguson. Alan Muir will handle VAR duties, with assistance from Graeme Leslie.
