Chelsea vs Celtic: Where to watch, team news & kick-off time
Celtic play their final preseason game against Chelsea this evening. The Scottish Champions take on the London side at Notre Damn Stadium in Indiana, home of the Fighting Irish. Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers will be hoping to build on their impressive wins over DC United and Manchester City with a strong performance against Enzo Maresca’s side.
Team News
Maik Nawrocki remains out with a knock, but Cameron Carter-Vickers is expected to return. The Celtics are still without Alistair Johnston as he recovers from his Copa America appearance. Carter-Vickers will most likely start as the manager works to get the USA international fit and firing for next weekend’s Premiership opener against Killie.
Kasper Schmeichel was excellent in the win over Manchester City and will most likely be retained from the start.
Tony Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Liam Scales, and Greg Taylor will form the starting backline. The four are most likely to begin on Flag Day next weekend.
Matt O’Riley will start in midfield with Reo Hatate and Callum McGregor in the first half.
In attack, expect Kyogo to lead the line, with Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kühn on the right. The German was outstanding in the first half against City, scoring twice and assisting once. Despite picking up a knee injury, the winger will be available to face Chelsea.
The manager will shuffle the pack and distribute minutes throughout the game.
Kick-Off Time
The game starts at 9 p.m. (Celtic Park Time), but it begins at 4 p.m. locally.
Where To Watch
The game will be broadcast on Celtic TV and Chelsea TV to all subscribers, with coverage beginning shortly before kickoff. Supporters who do not subscribe can purchase a PPV stream to watch all of the action.
Fans can watch on Celtic TV as well as a variety of regional broadcasts, including ABC in the United States, Paramount+ in Australia, and Disney+ in South American countries.
