Chris Sutton issues response amid claims of Brendan Rodgers leaving Celtic for West Ham

Even though September isn’t even halfway over, Brendan Rodgers is already being mentioned as a potential departure from Celtic to West Ham United.

Even worse for West Ham is that, following their miserable start to the season, their fans are already unhappy with their new manager, Julen Lopetegui.
The Hammers lost their third straight game at home, 3-0, to Chelsea on Saturday. This is a first for the team in their history.

That’s what happens, some would contend, when you bully former Celtic guy David Moyes out of a position, even though he gave you a trophy for the first time in many years.

However, considering Lopetegui’s difficult beginning, Rodgers—who won the double when he returned to Celtic the previous season—was mentioned.

In addition to the Irishman’s incredible comeback, Celtic is currently having its best season yet, raising expectations beyond what they have ever been.

Although Celtic has struggled in Europe in recent years, many people think they can get to the Champions League knockout stages this year.

Despite the fact that Celtic is a larger team than West Ham, Chris Sutton answered a fan of the East London team who suggested Aaron Rodgers accept the position at the London Stadium rather quickly.

First of all, he reminded everyone that Rodgers is at a ‘huge club north of the border’ before stating in a blunt fashion that he ‘wouldn’t want to downgrade’, as he told 606 on BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.

Rodgers already made this mistake with Leicester City and he knows fully well that he won’t be making it again.

Rodgers Brendan at West Ham United

The West Ham supporter vowed to give Julien Lopetegui till Christmas. “Considering his past accomplishments, I believe Brendan Rodgers would have been a good choice as well.”

Sutton answered right away, saying, “He’s at a big club north of the border.” Well, let’s get going. Even if the money was good, he wouldn’t want to drop down to West Ham from Celtic.

Brendan Rodgers in the Champions League with Celtic

Nobody is surprised by Celtic’s dominance over the competition, and many people believe that numerous trophies will soon be won again—the only question is by how many.

But making it to the knockout stages of the Champions League is what Celtic fans are most anticipating.
With Rodgers off to the ideal start in Europe, a tantalizing matchup with Borussia Dortmund is up next.

That is preferable than attempting to force West Ham to finish in the Europa Conference League or, as it is this season, stay out of the Premier League relegation zone.
