Chris Sutton makes a transfer claim for Matt O’Riley that every Celtic fan would agree with.

Every Celtic fan would agree with Chris Sutton’s transfer request for Matt O’Riley.

Last season, the 23-year-old put in standout performances as Celtic won the Triple Crown under Ange Postecoglou.

However, his performances were not at the level he is now because he has certainly advanced under Brendan Rodgers.

As Chris Sutton told Sky Sports Football (02/01/24 at 6:55 pm), Matt O’Riley hardly misplaced a pass during the recent win over St Mirren.

And how the £1.5 million acquisition from MK Dons was a “absolute steal.”

Celtic are rumoured to need to bolster their squad with proven talent during the January transfer window. Someone like Matt O’Riley is demonstrating that this isn’t always the case, and that those unknown gems are still out there.

Expect the Denmark international to be up there when the season’s awards are handed out because he has been sensational. He has 10 goals and seven assists in 21 Scottish Premiership games for the Bhoys, who are currently top of the table.

“Other than that cross, I don’t recall O’Riley misplacing a pass.” “His death was calculated and precise,” Sutton said.

“He seems to be an absolute bargain from MK Dons.”

Future Celtic fans will be relieved to learn that Matt O’Riley only recently signed a new contract with the club, so there is no need to panic.

This protects the club financially, but it doesn’t stop interested parties from knocking on the door.
There’s no way he’ll leave in January; the upcoming summer transfer window is a different story entirely.

However, the player is still committed to a long-term contract. Plus, he’s not saying anything that worries fans, and another 100 appearances are likely.
